It’s 12:01 PM on 12/12/10 and it’s still snowing. I woke up this morning and thought that somehow I had been transported to the top of Vinson Massif in Antarctica. After watching the morning show, I finally trudged out through the snow. It was wet, cold, but yet so beautiful. A Kodak moment was coming my way, as some would say. But, my question is: Why do people think that the most damp, coldest and colorless days are “cozy”? It’s a word that comes up a lot when talking about big blizzards. Why don’t we say “That 80 degree Saturday was so cozy! I didn’t have to close the windows all day!”? Couldn’t that be cozy? Winter is stealing coziness from summer. Poor summer.
I still feel like I need to take some pictures but I feel I need to add some color to all this white. Yes, the white is beautiful, but what about the color? I guess I could take some pics of yellow snow, but that just doesn’t have quite the rainbow-beautiful I was going for. How do you capture all of the white without some contrast of color? I think I am going to go try to catch a white (or yellow) Kodak moment now. I’ll upload pictures later if I get anything good.
