Staring at a blank page is like staring in to eyes of a wicked sparkling vampire. Scary, but mesmerizing.
Why are we so afraid of blank pages? My theory is because we have to START something. Starting is always the hardest part of anything. From cleaning the polluted basement to planning a campaign to rid the US of Asian beetles, we all have to start somewhere. The hardest part about starting is knowing where to start. See, the problem is, when you start writing on a blank page at 9:58 PM, it’s really hard to know where to begin. It’s especially hard when you are repeatedly changing the settings on your computer because your head keeps hitting the keyboard after dosing off.
So, more on this topic next time…after I figure out how to change my laptop back to English…
