Maybe your neighbor, John just told you that after 3 years of late night, music blasting partying that he is going to go to Northern Thailand to take a year-long vow of silence. Or your best friend told you that she was quitting her job as a hygienist to become a professional juggler. Or your dog told you that he was having an affair with your guinea pig. All of these sudden change-of-philosophies can seem very out-of-place. Being confusing and outright ridiculous, we tend to take these view-point bombs as a joke or say something witty like “Oh that’s great, John. But, I must ask you; was that you I heard last night singing ‘Bad Romance’ in your backyard? I really didn’t take you as a Lady Gaga fan”.
This all may sound like a joke, but I am not joking when I say that people can change-sometimes drastically-within seconds. It’s our job to accept that change. Respect is a simple thing that needs to be embraced throughout our county, the world and our universe.
Just a though to ponder,
